FEIG ELECTRONIC develops and manufactures RFID readers, barcode scanners and industrial wearables and is therefore a full-service provider of AutoID hardware for use in manufacturing and logistics.
In addition to numerous RFID readers (LF, HF, UHF) for applications such as incoming and outgoing goods inspection or material orders (KANBAN), the wearable HyWEAR compact is the focus of the trade fair appearance. This hybrid barcode & RFID wearable is the only device of this type to identify 1H and 2D barcodes as well as UHF transponders, offers a long-lasting, replaceable battery as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 2.4GHz / 5GHz with roaming function.
FEIG currently employs around 400 people in Weilburg, Cologne, Bad Hersfeld and Atlanta (USA). Other business areas are control technology, sensors and contactless payment terminals.
The new wearable from FEIG ELECTRONIC makes logistical processes easier and more efficient by working with both hands. When identifying a barcode or RFID transponder, HyWEAR compact is several seconds faster than conventional devices and offers maximum user convenience thanks to the latest wireless technology (WLAN 2.4GHz / 5GHz and Bluetooth 5.0). Equipped with a long-life, replaceable battery, the device does not require any special receiving stations and can be integrated into existing processes immediately. Within a radio cell, several devices can be connected directly to the Ethernet via WLAN. WLAN roaming enables HyWEAR compact to switch from one radio cell to the next without having to register and automatically connects to the new WLAN access node. The HyWEAR compact is the only backhand scanner in the world that records both 1D and 2D barcodes as well as UHF RFID transponders and thus enables flexible use of both technologies.
